The First Tee of Pasadena is a successful junior golf program that not only teaches children the game of golf, but more importantly, life skills. Our mission is: To impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational pro-grams that promote character-development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. What sets The First Tee of Pasadena apart from other successful junior golf programs is The First Tee Life Skills Experience curriculum. Through the Life Skill Education, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences; how to define and set goals; and how to transfer values such as responsibility, honesty, integrity, respect, confidence, courtesy, judgment, perseverance and sportsmanship from golf to every day life. These lessons for life are taught through a variety of golf-related exercises designed with the primary goal of having fun.

The First Tee of Pasadena is one of 206 The First Tee Chapters worldwide. Over 2,060 area youth have participated in The First Tee of Pasadena since its inception in the summer of 2006.
